What if some of the cravings, mood swings, anxiety, and self-medicating behaviors we struggle with aren't simply a matter of willpower—but signs that the brain is missing key nutrients?
In this episode of the Corner Cove Wellness Podcast, Jared Casey sits down with Dr. Shelly Jo Wahlstrom, founder of Hypno Aminos and author of Feed Your Brain, Change Your Life, to explore how targeted amino acids, nutrition, and emotional healing can support mental health, recovery, and overall well-being.

Nicole Casey: Beating M.S., Finding Purpose – The Story Behind Corner Cove Wellness In this inspiring video, Nicole Casey shares the journey that led her to create Corner Cove Wellness. The first ten minutes explore Nicole’s vision for Corner Cove—a place built from her desire to help others find hope and healing. Nicole’s battle with M.S., years of seizures, and commitment to natural healing have shaped her deep passion for supporting others on their own wellness paths. Nicole opens up about living with anxiety and trauma as a youth, enduring multiple setbacks and health challenges. When strong side effects from her M.S. medication left her at a crossroads, Nicole made the difficult decision to stop the meds—against her doctor’s advice. “Call me me when you need a wheelchair,” her doctor told her. Instead, Nicole took it as a personal challenge. Years later, she no longer meets the criteria for M.S. She vulnerably shares how this journey has humbled her, teaching her to let go of pride and embrace a life filled with peace and joy. To manage ongoing seizures—believed to be a result of previous medications—Nicole has embraced a holistic lifestyle: breathwork, yoga, meditation, a brain-healthy diet, exercise, neurofeedback, EWOT, sound baths, therapy, coaching, walking, and letting go of what no longer serves her. Now, Nicole’s greatest motivation is to share what she has learned and to create a space where others can heal, grow, and thrive. Her journey is a testament to resilience, hope, and the healing power of community.
